The page recently shared a recipe for peanut butter banana bread made entirely in the microwave in two minutes, using just a handful of ingredients.
It’s ideal if you’ve got a stray banana at home that’s on the brink of being too ripe to eat, and you can also easily tweak it with other ingredients you have, like walnuts or chocolate chips.
Here’s everything you need to rustle up one serving of this delightful dessert, as reported by the Express.
Banana bread mug cake
Ingredients
- One banana
- Two tbsp self-raising flour
- One tsp peanut butter
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- One tbsp milk
- One tbsp caster sugar
Method
Mash up the banana and pop it in any microwave-safe mug or dish. Add the flour, cinnamon, caster sugar and milk, and give it a good stir to ensure everything is mixed well.
Next, add a spoonful of peanut butter on top of your mixture and pop it in the microwave for a quick two-minute cook. The peanut butter will have gorgeously melted into the middle of the cake, so serve it up straight away.
Top it off with any leftover banana slices, a scoop of ice cream or any other treat you’re craving.
