Vanessa Feltz has revealed that she is now looking to date someone of a similar age as dating a younger man like her ex fiancé Ben Ofoedu did not end well for her
Following the breakdown of her relationship with Ben Ofoedu after 16 years together, Vanessa Feltz is now adamant that she will never entertain a relationship with a man younger than her.
Instead she has revealed that she is determined to not only find someone organically but someone of a similar age to her.
The 63 year old TV personality, who is a regular on This Morning was left “scarred” and humiliated after it emerged that Ben, 53, has cheated on her behind her back.
The mum of two, who is also a grandmother, has shunned the thought of online dating as close pal and fellow celebrity Claire Sweeney warned her off the dating app Raya, as there are allegedly leaks. Vanessa is somewhat concerned when it comes to dating older men as they have a tendency to be “serious” and “boring.”
When asked her thoughts on dating a younger man during her chat with the Daily Mail, she revealed: “I did that and I didn’t work out well, did it? I don’t fancy doing it again, that one has left me scarred. I just think now I’ll go for somebody who is the right age, a bit more similar in terms of experiences maybe, honestly I don’t know what I’m doing, it hasn’t worked.”‘
She added: “Dating is hideous and I’m starting to understand why some women particularly just think, ‘who needs it? Who can be bothered with it?’ It is disheartening and as an agony aunt, I give advice all the time, I do mean it, I do give advice I mean and I say that dating is a numbers game, it only takes one and just keep going and don’t take it personally. I do mean that and I do believe that but it’s hard.”
In a bid to stave off potential loneliness, Vanessa has admitted to keeping herself busy by constantly working.
The TV presenter who hosts her own Channel 5 show, has worked seven days a week since March and has only had four days off in 200 days.
The TV personality is quite clear what she is looking for when it comes to dating and one pre-requisite is that she finds her suitor physically attractive.
Vanessa’s ex Ben, who shot to fame as part of Phats and Small, tied the knot with a woman who shares the same first name as the presenter, in July.
And what appeared to be a veiled dig at the TV star, he claimed he had married his “Vanessa 2.0” in a reported £100,000 ceremony in Carlisle.
The couple married just 15 months since they started dating.
