Victoria and David Beckham among stars attending Oasis gig at Wembley

Victoria and David Beckham were among the many A-listers who attended Oasis’ final UK gig before they jet off to Asia for more shows

Victoria and David Beckham were among the many stars attending the Oasis concert at Wembley Stadium this weekend. Liam and Noel Gallagher returned for more dates in London after flying across the pond to perform in Chicago, East Rutherford, Los Angeles and Mexico City.

After their final London show, the band will be jetting off to Asia to perform in South Korea and Japan before going to Australia. Similar to their previous shows, Rich Ashcroft kicked things off on Sunday night and even dedicated Bittersweet Symphony to the late Ricky Hatton.

The energy was clearly high and a number of big celebrities were spotted singing along to their hit songs in the crowd. Iconic couple were seen chatting with pals as they embraced each other.

Tom Grennan and Serge Pizzorno from Kasabian were some of the talented stars at the show. Others at the VIP section included Matt Smith and Sienna Miller, who attended previous shows.

Some fans spotted who they believe was Kate Moss, along with old pal Sadie Frost. Hollywood icon Matthew McConaughey held hands with his wife Camila Alves as they made their way out of the venue

During the show, Liam and Noel paid tribute to Ricky Hatton by projecting a picture of him onto the big screen.

Liam looked up at the screen and patted his chest as he paid his respects. Towards the end of the show, he told fans: “I want to thank you for keeping the faith and putting this band back on the map. Champagne supernova, see you next year.”

The former boxing world champion was a huge Oasis fan and a close friend of Noel and Liam Gallagher, who carried his belts into the ring before his win over Pauli Malignaggi at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas 2008.

Hatton attended an Oasis gig in Dublin just weeks before he died, thanking Noel for the tickets afterwards. Indeed, Noel revealed last week that Hatton had been texting him not long before his death.

“We were texting each other last week,” he said on talkSPORT. “And I saw him at Heaton Park a couple of the nights, and he was on standard Ricky form. He was wisecracking with everyone, he was having a drink, he was great.

“We don’t know what has happened, but he did struggle with mental health, that’s widely known, and it just shows you that you never really know. It’s such a shame. He’s a great Mancunian.”

Noel described Ricky as a ‘lovely, lovely lad. “One of the lads. He was one of us,” he said. “It’s sad we’ll never see him at the Etihad again, but that’s life isn’t it,” he added.
