Amid yet more speculation about her family this weekend, Victoria Beckham brushed off the latest drama in a post today. The entrepreneur has shared an update with fans on social media as rumours of a rift continue to circulate.
It was reported earlier that her son Brooklyn Beckham, 26, shared a “damning message” for his parents this morning. Victoria, 51, has now revealed that amid the speculation she enjoyed spending time with her husband David Beckham, 50, and their daughter Harper Beckham, 13, this afternoon.
Victoria posted about their afternoon in a post on social media. She didn’t address her son’s post or the latest headlines about her family, choosing not to publicly react, at least for now, with her instead opting to promote one of her businesses whilst showing that she enjoyed spending Sunday afternoon with her husband and youngest child.
Through her brand Victoria Beckham Beauty, she shared that she watched as Harper put makeup on David. The post, which was later shared on Victoria’s personal account on Instagram too, had the caption: “Sunday afternoon makeup with Harper.” After some laughing emojis, her husband David was tagged in the caption beside text that read “kisses”.
In the video, Harper can be seen applying makeup to her father’s face with a brush. Victoria says: “Okay, so Harper is putting some makeup on Daddy. Looking gorgeous.” She later adds about her husband: “Looking very handsome.”
The second part of the video, which appeared to promote products from the brand, showed Harper using concealer, with David teasing Victoria after she mistook it for contour. Discussing the product in use, Victoria said: “FL2 to cover up the sun spots. […] And now she’s buffing in the contour.”
Then after some whispering from Harper, Victoria corrected herself, saying: “Concealer, sorry.” David then teased: “Come on mum, get it right!” Victoria laughed and apologised again, before saying that bronzer would be added next.
The post comes just hours after reports of Brooklyn’s apparent message for his parents surfaced. He shared a post about his wife Nicola Peltz, 30, on the platform this morning, with him vowing to “always choose” her amid rumours of tension between them and his parents lately. It’s been suggested that he “brutally” chose his wife in the apparent feud with the message.
Brooklyn’s post included footage of him and Nicola on a motorbike. He wrote in the caption: “My whole world x I will love you forever x I always choose you baby x you’re the most amazing person i know xx me and you forever baby.”
Nicola is thought to have reacted to his tribute, with her sharing the video on her page. Expressing solidarity with her husband Brooklyn, who she married three years ago, she wrote in the caption: “I’ve always got you baby.”
Brooklyn’s brother Cruz Beckham, 20, then defended their parents amid the apparent drama. He paid tribute to Victoria and David alongside a family photo that showed the couple beside their four kids, including eldest son Brooklyn.
Cruz told his parents in the caption of the post this morning that he felt “blessed” to have them in his life. He wrote: “I love my family, I love you guys more than anything, mum & dad, you gave us life and cared for us no matter what, I cannot tell you how blessed we all are to have you in our lives x.”
There has been much speculation of a potential rift within the Beckham family lately. There’s been reports of ‘snubs’ on social, whilst Brooklyn and Nicola are thought to have missed family celebrations in recent months.
Nicola has been blamed for the apparent tension by some people as part of the speculation, though she’s also been defended by others, with a source telling the Mirror previously that she “encourages” Brooklyn to see his family. There’s said to be “distance” between Brooklyn and his parents though, with Victoria expressing her love for her family, including Brooklyn, last week amid the ongoing speculation.
