Virgin Media offers you free Sky TV channel this month and that’s not all

Virgin Media has launched a new offer during October that’s dishing out free channels including Sky.

It’s very rare that you get something for nothing. However, those with Virgin Media TV beamed into their homes are getting exactly that. The telecoms giant has just announced that it’s offering customers free access to a swathe of premium channels without charging the usual price. The freebie even includes a hugely popular Sky service.

So what exactly is free, and how do Virgin users get the channels on their TVs?

This latest update from Virgin Media offers full access to Sky Kids, Cartoon Network and Baby TV and lasts throughout the whole of October.

Those extra channels mean homes can tune into content such as Pip and Posy’s Spooktacular Party (Sky Kids), The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball (Cartoon Network), SpongeBob SquarePants (Nickelodeon), and Peppa Pig.

Usually, there would be a fee to pay for these kids’ services, but that’s been dropped, and the timing couldn’t be better. Virgin says the freebie is available just in time for the October half-term, which kicks off later in the month.

To make things even better, Virgin also says customers will be able to tune in on the move as well as at home. That will be perfect for those long car journeys over the holiday period.

That service is available via the Virgin TV Go app.

Speaking about the update, David Bouchier, Chief TV and Entertainment Officer at Virgin Media O2, said: “We know half term and school holidays can be a juggle for families, and keeping the kids entertained – without a hefty price tag – isn’t always easy.

That’s why we’re offering a helping hand and giving our Kids TV channels to all customers throughout October at no extra cost. Whether it’s content on Sky Kids, Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network or Baby TV, our children’s TV line up offers something for all ages.”

As a quick guide to the savings this offer makes. Sky Kids is £8 per month when buying directly from Sky.
