Shoppers due for a phone upgrade might be eyeing the brand-new iPhone, but as with any top-tier model, it can cost a significant amount. However, thanks to Vodafone, shoppers can now save up to £400 when they trade in their old phone.

With Vodafone, the iPhone 17 Pro is available from £52 a month (before adding any data). Plus, when customers trade in their current phone, they can save up to £400, making the price even more affordable.

Prices for pairing the 256GB device with unlimited data start from £68 per month, with a £40 upfront fee, spread over a 36-month contract. The standout feature of the new range is the Cosmic Orange colourway, exclusive to the iPhone 17 Pro range. The model is also available in Silver and Deep Blue for those who prefer a more subdued tone.

The iPhone 17 Pro boasts features such as Apple’s powerful A19 Pro chip for lightning-fast performance, a 48MP Fusion rear camera system with the longest zoom ever on an iPhone, and a new Centre Stage front camera, perfect for group selfies, reports the Express.

It’s also said to have up to four hours longer battery life than the iPhone 15 Pro Max, and it runs on the latest iOS 26 with advanced Apple Intelligence features. The Daily Express tech team has reviewed the flagship iPhone 17 Pro Max, available to read here.

Save up to £400 on the new iPhone 17 Pro at Vodafone if you ditch your old device.

Through the Vodafone XChange programme, customers can upgrade their iPhone annually, a full year ahead of schedule, whilst also securing a £400 discount when trading in their device. Additionally, Vodafone subscribers gain access to dual network coverage at no additional charge, utilising both Vodafone and Three’s infrastructure to enhance connectivity nationwide.

If shoppers would prefer something other than an iPhone, there are other options out there for those looking an upgrade. For example, O2 has the new Samsung S25 Ultra 5G with 36 month contracts with 50GB of data starting at £49.96 per month with a £30 upfront fee.

Another option is the flagship Google Pixel 10 Pro, which EE has available on a 24 month contract with 5GB data for £25 per month with a £30 upfront cost. Of course, the iPhone 17 Pro isn’t the only device in Apple’s flagship range and The Daily Express team has rounded up the deals on other models here.

While direct reviews for the newly launched iPhone 17 Pro remain unavailable, customers have shared their Vodafone experiences on Trustpilot. One satisfied customer commented: “Came in this morning to sort out the iPhone 17 Pro Max. Easy to trade in my current iPhone and got it on order within minutes. Got all my stuff sorted with Vodafone. Top service as usual.”

However, not everyone was as pleased. One user commented: “The network itself has decent coverage, although the 3G signal is not as good in certain areas as other networks. I found customer service quite unhelpful when experiencing problems tethering on my iPhone.”

Another expressed dissatisfaction, stating: “I am not overly impressed with the service I receive from Vodafone. The only reason my contract is with them is because I was able to get an iPhone on a decent package without paying over the odds.”

But on a more positive note, a satisfied customer said: “Great service for setting up my new iPhone.” Another praised: “Excellent and top quality service, helped set up my new iPhone and transferred everything over with no hassle. Explained everything I needed to do to complete the set-up, couldn’t have been more helpful.”
