Max Texan BBQ was released in 2023 as part of a partnership with Pizza Hut – but Walkers has now confirmed that this flavour is no more

Walkers has apologised after confirming a popular flavour has been permanently discontinued.

Max Texan BBQ was released in 2023 as part of a partnership with Pizza Hut – but Walkers has now confirmed that this flavour is no more.

One fan wrote on social media site X.com: “Why can’t I find Walkers Max Pizza Hut Texan BBQ Crisps in the supermarket? I usually buy a bag each time I shop as they are a favourite in my house. I haven’t seen them for at least six weeks.”

In reply to this shopper, Walkers said: “We’re sorry but Pizza Hut Texan BBQ Max are no longer part of our range. We’ll let the team know how much you are missing them.”

In a review on the Tesco website, another shopper described the crisps as “very tasty and moreish” while another person posted on the Asda website: “These are my favourite crisps for a long time.”

A Walkers spokesperson told The Sun: “We recently said goodbye to our two Pizza Hut Walkers MAX Flavours, Texan BBQ and Pepperoni Feast.

“Continuously evolving our portfolio allows us to create more exciting flavours for our crisp fans, like our recently launched limited-edition Walkers MAX German Doner Kebab flavours.”

Another Max flavour produced in collaboration with Pizza Hut – Pepperoni Feast – has also been scrapped. Walkers regularly updates its catalogue of flavours to make way for new creations.

Walkers has just released two new limited-edition flavours with German Doner Kebab (GDK) company. The new flavours are Max GDK Chicken Kebab and Max GDK Beef Kebab.

In better foodie news, it has been confirmed that popular childhood cereal Golden Graham’s is set to make a comeback. Made by Nestle, the iconic cereal was popular in the 80s and 90s but was sadly discontinued in 2021.

Now it has been announced Nestle is bringing back the whole wheat and corn square-shaped treat back. According to The Sun, one excited fan said: “Is this real as I’ve been wanting and trying to find these for ages.”

While another added: “Ran there yesterday and got 2 boxes of golden grahams. Soooooo excited.” One social media user shared recently: “When Nestlé discontinued Golden Grahams it was the biggest insult to mankind.”

While another wanted to know why the brand had been axed posting: “Why did Golden Grahams get discontinued when its the best cereal to have ever existed.”

Another X user said the move was a “travesty” and others say they continue to miss the breakfast brand adding; “Omg I LOVED Golden Grahams sooooo much and I crave them every now and then.

The brand has confirmed the cereal will also be available in B&M, Farm Foods, Heron Foods and Aldi.
