Joey Essex: “I cannot wait. I honestly cannot wait. I cannot even tell you how excited I am to get in that ring on August 30. I am going to be in my element. It has been a long time coming and there has been negotiations that we could not meet and timings. I am a busy man, I have got TV shows coming at me left, right and centre. I also need to juggle that with this. This is something I am very passionate about and want to do. That is why we are doing it now. I have got TV shows I can do. But, to be honesty this is paying me a lot more and this is something I am very passionate about and I am very excited about it.”
NUMEIRO: “I saw a couple of videos of him boxing and sparring and I do not know if he was trying to look bad on purpose to like not scare me away. That was genuinely a question in my head because I do not know the guy. I do not know if he fought as a kid. I saw a couple of videos and they looked really bad. Hopefully, he was not playing me. If that was the real him, I am confident I will beat him up.”
