Fans of Moet and Veuve Clicquot can ready themselves for a new favourite with this heavily reduced classic
Amazon has launched its latest sale with deals that offer massive savings and cover all kinds of products, from beauty and tech to drinks. There are plenty of spirits and wines on sale, but our resident triple-certified wine expert, Jada Jones, has pulled out one bottle, which she insists is a must-have.
Lanson Le Rosé Brut NV is reduced from £49.99 to £33.99 on the shopping giant. While this may feel like a large amount to spend on a bottle of champagne, it’s more affordable than similar bottles on the market.
Veuve Clicquot’s Rosé Champagne is £55, consists of a similar blend, and Jada insists is of a similar quality. The Moët & Chandon Rosé Impérial similarly costs £47.99. Lanson offers incredible value as it gives a similar quality drink for £14 less than rivals on the market.

Jada said: “I do think Moet and Veuve Clicquot are two of the most popular Champagne houses here in the UK, but that doesn’t mean we should turn our noses up at the likes of Lanson. It’s actually one of the oldest champagne houses, dating back to 1760 and in 1900, it received a Royal Warrant as an official supplier to the Court of England. If it’s good enough for royalty, then it’s worth trying.
“Lanson is a very smooth and drinkable Champagne, it’s got the pale salmon colour you’d hope to see in a bottle like this. It’s a non-vintage so there’s no point putting this in your cellar and hoping it will be delicious in eight years, it might age well but I’d recommend popping this in the next 12 months for maximum enjoyment.
“It’s got notes of raspberry, pomegranate and rose on the nose with a floral fruity blend on the palate. There are more notes that can be mentioned, but it ultimately tastes a little like red fruits with a touch of baked goods that you’d expect from a rose champagne.
“In my opinion, if you’re looking for a bottle of pink bubbles to celebrate a special occasion in the next year this is a good option. The gift box also makes it an incredibly thoughtful gift.”
If you are gifting this and looking to impress the recipient, it’s worth remembering that it’s best paired with fish or summer fruits and that it’s won several medals in the wine world – including silver in the Global Champagne Masters of 2020. Although it has less overall ratings than rivals on Amazon it has still pulled in an average rating of 4.9 out of 5 with it getting compliments for having ‘just the right amount of bubbles’.
You can get Lanson Le Rosé Brut NV for £33.99 now on Amazon. Or you can try Veuve Clicquot’s Rosé Champagne at £55 or Moët & Chandon Rosé Impérial for £47.99. Alternatively, visit your nearest supermarket to find on the shelf deals.
