Bride-to-be Hayleigh is in the middle of planning her 2027 wedding after getting engaged earlier this year, and has now shared her experience of trying on a £14 wedding dress from Vinted
A woman who is currently in the middle of planning her 2027 wedding has shared her bafflement after receiving a wedding dress she paid just £14 for on Vinted.
Weddings are expensive. From the wedding licence, to booking the location and paying for everything else that comes with a celebration and keeping your guests happy throughout the occasion, the total price ends up adding up very quickly. So when you find a bargain for something that most couples usually spend hundreds or thousands of pounds on for their wedding, you definitely take advantage of the good deals.
Hayleigh got engaged to her partner in August earlier this year, and have now started planning for their 2027 wedding. She has since taken to TikTok, where she has over 75,000 followers, to let her viewers follow along as she makes their wedding perfect for her and her fiancé.
In a recent video, Hayleigh went on to share she bought a second-hand wedding dress through Vinted for just £14, as she brought her followers along for when she saw the dress in person for the first time.
“I ordered a wedding dress off Vinted for £14. Should we take a look?” she said before starting to open the large box.
As she opened the box, she went on to say she had wanted to look around to see what kind of things were available for you if you decided to shop second hand. And she was soon left baffled as she saw the dress she bought.
Starting with the top part of the dress, her jaw hit the floor when she unwrapped the top part of the bridal attire. It looked to be a corset top with thick shoulder straps along with a square neckline, which boasted embroidered detailing.
“Oh my God,” Hayleigh said as she put the top down before unwrapping the skirt, which boasted similar detailing on the bottom part of the skirt that were also found on the corset.
In a follow-up video posted a day later, Hayleigh went on to try the dress on after the viewers of her first video had begged her to do so, with them being just as impressed by the dress as she was.
And it just so happens the dress fit her perfectly. She showed herself having put the skirt and top on before tightening the corset herself. The video then cut to Hayleigh showing off the full look as she expressed her excitement.
“15 quid? Are you actually joking me? Vivienne Westwood, who? This was £14, I think, 15 odd quid with delivery, what the hell?” she said as she twirled around in her dress. Hayleigh then went on to show off the ‘beautiful’ detailing in the top of the dress, which was made by a brand called ESSENCE, which she revealed in the comment section of the video.
“I feel incredible,” she said. “I feel like a princess.”
And Hayleigh wasn’t the only one impressed with the dress, as the comment section soon filled with compliments from viewers.
“What a bargain and it looks so beautiful on you,” one person said, while another viewer wrote: “IM SORRY!!! THATS YOUR DRESS!!”
“You hit the lottery with this buy. Gorgeous on you and I cannot wait to see it when it is altered just for you,” someone else said.
