Cleaning can be a therapeutic task for many as you watch your home transform into a gleaming abode, but sometimes there is nothing more infuriating than streaks on glass

A cleaning enthusiast has revealed a nifty trick to banish those pesky streaks on glass, turning your home into a spotless haven.

For many, cleaning is almost meditative, as you witness your space transform into a pristine palace. Yet, the frustration of finishing up only to spot a streaky window or shower door can be disheartening, prompting a reluctant second scrub.

But fear not, one savvy cleaner has shared her budget-friendly secret for that perfect streak-free shine – and it’s a homemade solution that’ll set you back a mere 90p. Taking to TikTok, Kerry, known as @renovation_44, is no stranger to dishing out household hacks. In her latest video, she divulges her go-to recipe for gleaming shower glass.

“Hack: To get your shower glass sparkling,” she captions the clip. Demonstrating her DIY mix, she advises: “1/2 cup of water, 1/4 dish soap, 1/2 cup of white vinegar,” while combining the ingredients in a spray bottle.

The cleaning guru then liberally applies the concoction to her shower glass, explaining: “This removes water stains and soap scum,” as she works it in with a sponge. Following up with a rinse from the shower head, she washes away the solution, ensuring, “Rinse for squeaky clean glass,” and guarantees a “Streak-free finish.”

Kelly shared an epic hack for getting your glass gleaming on the cheap, revealing that all you need is 55p dish soap from Asda and 35p vinegar from Tesco, totalling a purse-friendly 90p. For those hard-to-shift water marks, she suggested using lemon juice, but in her viral video, she opted for standard washing-up liquid.

Cleaning aficionados can’t get enough of her budget-friendly tip, with many branding her a “genius”. On social media, delighted followers have been quick to voice their success, with one user commenting: “Thank you so much, it’s worked for me,” and another posting: “Love this, thank you.”

Kelly’s trick also sparked a flurry of additional tips, like: “Spray Rainx on it after,” and “Try a magic eraser, 100 per cent works every time.”
