With the sunshine looking like it might be here to stay for a while longer, finding a reliable way to keep cool in the heat is essential. A wearable fan provides a refreshing breeze on the go and one such neck fan from Amazon is taking shoppers by storm.

The HandFan Portable Neck Fan from Amazon, which buyers are calling ‘a brilliant little fan’, is priced at £27. An ideal solution for hands-free cooling, it is helping to calm hot flushes and cool frayed nerves both at home and on the go.

According to the product description, the fan features a bladeless design, eliminating the risk of hair getting caught. It is made from eco-friendly silicone materials, offering a natural, comfortable, and skin-friendly wearing experience.

By using a U-shaped air outlet the hidden, bladeless fans is able to direct airflow around the neck and face. Studies show that airflow to the face increases the sensation of coolness, making this design highly effective.

Powered by a 5000mAh battery, the fan provides 3.5 to 15 hours of operation depending on the speed setting and fully charges in just 3 hours. The energy-efficient brushless motor has a lifespan of at least 20,000 hours, ensuring long-term durability.

The personal fan is suitable for various outdoor activities, including camping, hiking, travelling and more. Its headset-like design acts as a nifty personal air conditioning unit whilst watching TV or getting on with the chores.

If a neck fan isn’t quite right there are other personal cooling options out there. Argos, for example, is selling the Bush Black Handheld & Foldable Fan for £15. Buyers have given it four-star reviews calling it “powerful” and “perfect for holidays.”

For buyers with deepers pockets, Amazon also sells the Jisulife Portable Handheld Fan (£65.99) that offers up to five hours of cooling and doubles as a portable charger. More expensive than some other models, buyers say it is “worth the premium price” thanks to its power and long battery life.

For a more unique alternative, the Ice Pulse Wrist Cooler (£34.50) from Decathlon offers targeted cooling. Cold water cools the wrists by chilling the blood in vessels close to the skin, helping to lower overall body temperature.

Buyers have giving the Amazon Neck Fan glowing reviews, giving a 4.4 out of five-star rating. One buyer said: “Takes the edge of hot flushes. It’s fab. Doesn’t get tangled with your hair, one charge lasts a long time. “

Another added: “I can confidently say that it has been a game-changer for beating the heat, especially during these hot summer months. This innovative device has truly exceeded my expectations in terms of functionality and convenience.”

A third agreed, saying: “This is honestly the most amazing thing I think I’ve ever purchased. I didnt think having a fan just on your head/face would make such a difference but it really does.”

Sadly not all buyers were quite so impressed. One disappointed buyer left a three-star review that said: “Unfortunately, it only blows air up the side of one’s head but not up over your face and not really adjustable to alter the direction of the air.”

Overall, most buyers were impressed by the Amazon neck fan. One five star review summed it up saying: “Brilliant. This product does what it’s supposed to. It kept me cool while I was away from home, without having to hold something, great product.”
