Are you brave enough to take a dip inside the world’s deepest swimming pool?

We can assure you, it’s not for the faint-hearted… The epic swimming pool has everything, from an underwater city to an apartment and even arcade games – perfect for those who fancy a quick game of FIFA with their mates.

Located in Dubai, the 60-metre pool features an area designed to resemble a ruined, sunken city which boasts walls, furnished rooms, fit with motorbikes and a snooker table. Deep Dive Dubai can also be used as an underwater film studio.

The 200ft swimming pool might leave you gasping for air – and it even took a whopping 41 days to fill up completely. It finally opened its doors back in July 2021 to be crowned the world’s deepest swimming pool.

A video of the frightening pool was recently shared on Instagram where the user unveiled details about the thrilling experience. The caption read: “Did you know? @deepdivedubai is the deepest pool in the world – 60 meters deep!

“There’s an entire underwater city to explore, with abandoned cars, an apartment, and even arcade games. It took 41 days to fill it up! Who’s ready to dive here?”

Whether you’re new to diving or fancy a little scare, Deep Dive Dubai offers a range of training courses to help you get started. Experienced instructors can teach you the basis of diving and even guide you for your first dive.

For experienced divers, Deep Dive Dubai offers the chance to explore the sunken city on your own. Also the facility is equipped with a range of advanced equipment, including underwater scooters and cameras, to make your experience exhilarating.

So are you wondering how much it costs to take the plunge? Well for starters, it doesn’t come cheap… As of September 2021, the prices range from AED 800 for a beginner dive experience to AED 1,600 for a certified dive experience.

To translate to UK pounds, it’ll cost you between £170-£360, but it’s worth it since you get to explore some pretty cool sights. Since it was shared on social media, one person wrote: “New fear unlocked.” While another added: “So Stranger Things is real.”
