Your Galaxy phone will look inferior next month – exact date all Samsung fans must know

Samsung has now confirmed when its new Galaxy phones will be unveiled – this is the date you need to know.

It’s been rumoured for months, but now we finally know when Samsung’s next big Unpacked event is taking place. The Korean technology giant has just confirmed that fans will get their first glimpse of the next generation of devices on July 9.

The big unveiling is taking place in New York with Samsung promising that it will showcase “reimagined” phones.

“On July 9, Samsung Electronics will host Unpacked in Brooklyn, New York – a borough with an extraordinary spirit and a distinctive history,” Samsung confirmed.

“Brooklyn is where visionary thinking and bold ideas shape the future, so it’s only fitting that Samsung unveils the latest and greatest additions to the Galaxy portfolio in a place known for its culture, creativity, and collaboration.”

So, what are we expecting to see next month, and which current call makers are about to look outdated?

Samsung has been releasing teasers over the past few weeks, and it appears that the firm’s range of foldable and flipable devices are due for a refresh. Rumours suggest that they will get simmer designs, better screens and more power under the hood thanks to the inclusion of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chip.

Samsung has also hinted that a new name could be coming with some of these updated phones getting the Ultra branding.

Until now, that name has only been reserved for the Galaxy S range, but it seems we may soon see a Galaxy Z Fold Ultra launch as well.

“Galaxy Unpacked July 2025: The Ultra Experience Is Ready To Unfold,” the company confirmed.

Along with a rebrand and new design, it seems all of the upcoming devices will get some major AI updates aimed at making them smarter.

Explaining more, Samsung said: “The next-generation Galaxy devices are being reimagined around a new AI-powered interface, supported by breakthrough hardware built to unlock their full potential. This future is already unfolding, and the best of Galaxy AI and Samsung craftsmanship is about to be unveiled.”

Mirror Online will bring you all the news live from this event so watch this space if you want to know everything that’s been unveiled.
