iOS 26 is coming soon. Here’s when it will arrive on your iPhone as Apple reveals an important date.
Fancy some shiny new features on your iPhone for free? That’s exactly what Apple is offering next week. The US technology giant has just confirmed the exact date when iOS 26 will be released to iPhones across the globe and there’s not long to wait. In fact, the date that iOS 26 will become available is September 15 – that’s just a few days away.
This blockbuster update was actually announced all the way back in June at the firm’s WWDC showcase.
Once installed, iOS 26 comes with a swathe of new features along with a refreshed appearance called Liquid Glass. As the name suggests, this gives everything a glossy appearance.
Other extras in iOS 26 include a change to the Lock Screen with the much-loved clock now fluidly adapting to the available space on the display.
This release is also pretty smart. If you are fed up with those annoying cold calls then iOS 26 is worth installing. Apple has added a new feature in this release called Call Screening which won’t let unknown numbers pester you until the person on the phone confirms who they are.
There’s also good news if you travel a lot. iOS 26 will translate both calls and texts in real time, so you can hear and see exactly what is being said.

It’s worth noting that Apple never reveals a time for its software releases. However, looking back at past releases, Mirror Online reckons 6pm is a good bet.
Another thing to note is that not all devices are compatible.
