Samsung has confirmed the date for the launch of its new Galaxy S25 phone.
After months of rumours and endless speculation, Samsung has finally confirmed the launch date for its next-generation Galaxy S25 smartphone, which means your Galaxy S24 is about to look massively inferior.
The big reveal will take place on January 22 at one of the firm’s famous unpacked events in San Jose, California, and it could be another blockbuster release from the Korean technology giant.
Although full details are yet to be confirmed, it appears this new range of call makers will be smarter and more intelligent than before.
“Get ready for AI that is more natural and intuitive. The next evolution of Galaxy AI is coming, and it’s going to change the way you interact with the world every day,” Samsung confirmed on its website.
“The new Galaxy S series is about to set the bar once again for mobile AI experiences now and into the future.”
Last year’s Galaxy S24 was already pretty clever, with Samsung adding a swathe of upgrades such as foreign call translation, instant note-making and the ability to retouch images automatically without needing a degree in Photoshop.
We’ll have to wait and see what new AI upgrades arrive on the S25, but these won’t just be about being smarter. We can also expect them to feature the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite processor from Qualcomm along with improved cameras, longer battery life, better display and tougher designs that are less likely to break.
Full details will be revealed on January 22 and if you are thinking about buying a new Galaxy it will be worth waiting to see what is announced at Unpacked.
