You’re tying birthday balloons wrong but correct way stops fingers hurting

No matter how many years go by, some things just remain tradition at special events in our life – and birthday parties are not fit for the occasion unless there is cake, gifts, and balloons for the guest of honour. While decorating a party can be fun and looks great, often the task can be a harder graft than you initially anticipated.

Balloons are cheap to buy and easy to set up, but you often end up shattered from blowing all of them up, and your fingers hurt from trying to tie the end in a knot to stop the air from coming out. A good alternative to stop you from being left exhausted from blowing them up is to get a balloon pump, which can be bought for as little as £1 at Poundland.

In a bid to save your fingers, a woman has gone viral for sharing her method – raking in a whopping 160 million views on Instagram. She showed how she was sat down on a chair, with the arm of a coat hanger between her legs, which allowed her to use the other side as her balloon tool.

She blew up a green balloon, before wrapping the end around the end of the hanger twice, which offered a nice stretched out hole for her to push the end through and tie it up. As she pushed the end through the gap, she lifted it off the coat hanger, and it sealed the end.

“Save your fingers,” said @mrs.mpagaja who shared the clip online. One stunned individual commented: “Ummmmm. This is gold. I bow to you new friend.”

Another said: “This is one of the most genius things I’ve seen in my life. Thank you.” “How does it feel to be the smartest person alive,” added one other. One other gobsmacked watcher said: “I’ve never been able to tie a balloon. You’re my idol now.”

Another said: “I pray your coffee is always good! Your pillow is cold! Your kids listen! And good things just happen to you! Thank you lol.” “Someone get this lady something I don’t know what, but make it very good,” added one other.

One other shared: “I wish I would have seen this 6 months ago for my sons 1st birthday over 60 balloons my fingers hurt for a week after.”

In other birthday party news, a woman spent 20 hours making a six-tier cake for a birthday party but was left floored by the reaction to it. Her efforts were unfortunately not appreciated. And a mum was left furious recently after another parent said she and her daughter could only attend the event ‘on one condition’.
