YouTuber Savukku Shankar, from India, was left gobsmacked after a huge mob of people broke into his home and reportedly dumped sewage and faeces inside his property
An internet star has spoken out after 20 people stormed into his home and dumped human faeces inside each of his rooms after he exposed an alleged government “scam” on YouTube.
Savukku Shankar, from India, was left mortified after the gang dressed up as cleaners and reportedly issued him with a “death threat” on Monday. The content creator, who is known to critique the ruling of the political party, DMK in Tamil Nadu, believes the government is behind the incident.
He suspects that officials plotted the mass ambush in a bid to pressure him to stop filming the videos after he reportedly exposed “corruption” within the government in December, last year. According to local media, Shankar claimed that officials used 230 cars for sewage related tasks.
Shankar said that the group allegedly left “sewage and human faeces” inside of the property. However, it has been reported that police purposely took their time to attend the scene of the crime.

The attack was orchestrated by an angry mob who claimed they were sanitary workers. They managed to gain access to the property through the back door of the house. The group consisted of men and women, according to the Economic Times of India.
Shankar alleged that the ambush took place after he received numerous threats to stop filming on YouTube. He said: “I see this as the final warning since I have been talking against this (DMK regime) government and the police.” Sadly, his landlord has since requested that he vacate his property.
He continued: “This government will stoop to such a level and this is what I have been saying for the past 4 years. This channel cannot be run, this is not my failure, but this is the failure of this society.”
According to a city police release, Shankar’s mother, Kamala filed a complaint after the trespassing. She claimed she was threatened and shouted at with abusive language being hurled at her. “Legal action will be taken on the basis of the complaint,” the statement said.
The Crime Branch-Criminal Investigation Department (CBCID) later issued a statement and said: “On Kamala, 68, filed a complaint at G-3 Kilpauk Police Station, alleging that at approximately 9.45 hrs, around 20 individuals entered her home, verbally abused her, and vandalised her property with sewage waste. She requested that appropriate action be taken.”
The statement also addressed the allegations made by the YouTuber. It added: “Meanwhile, Suvukku Shankar, YouTuber and son of the petitioner, in an interview, made serious allegations against the Greater Chennai Police and the Commissioner of Police. In light of these concerns, the Commissioner of Police requested that the investigation be transferred to another agency. As per the request, the case has now been handed over to the CBCID for further investigation.”
