A popular YouTuber has died after complaining of chest pains during a livestream. Na Dong-hyun, known online as Buzzbean11 to his 1.46million subscribers, was found dead in his home.

The influencer, 46, suffered a heart-related issue, it has been reported. However, the results of an autopsy are yet to be released. He was found at his home in Seoul, South Korea, on Saturday morning.

Police were called after he did not turn up to a meeting and failed to answer calls. The media outlet also reported officers found no signs of foul play. A police spokesperson said: “There are no signs of homicide or criminal involvement.”

Just before his death, the YouTuber had complained of chest pains during a five-hour livestream. He had last been seen attending Seoul Fashion Week just two days before.

His funeral took place on Sunday at the funeral hall of Konkuk University Medical Centre. Buzzbean11, also known as Great Library, had 1.6billion views on his YouTube channel and was best known for his gaming videos.

In his final livestream, the YouTuber played for more than five hours, during which he played games with fans and chatted with them. He also complained about getting little sleep, explaining: “I think I slept for about three hours after getting my hair and makeup done from morning.”

After the news broke, fans flooded the comment section of his most recent video with tributes to the influencer. One wrote: “Before I started YouTube, I met you at an event, and you had a huge influence on me. Thank you… May you rest in peace.”

Another said: “When my depression was severe, I was so afraid to go to sleep every night. Whenever that happened, I would listen to your live broadcast at dawn and fall asleep with peace of mind. But you’re suddenly gone… I still can’t believe it.”

Someone else posted: “My first YouTube video, my first subscription, and the first YouTuber I became a fan of, Daedosogwan… Thanks to you, I had such wonderful times and precious dreams. I hope you find peace there.”

Na Dong-hyun is considered a pioneer of the first generation of Korean influencers. One of his fans said: “May the deceased rest in peace. Five years ago, when I started YouTube, I was motivated and learned a lot thanks to you, Daedo Library. I’m truly grateful. May you rest in peace in heaven.”

One person commented on the sheer volume of messages following his passing, writing: “What a wonderful person the Grand Library must have been, receiving so many final greetings. It’s so clear to see now. I pray for the repose of his soul. My heart is so heavy.”
