Zara McDermott has been decorating her new home and showing off some clever hacks for the space, including a brilliant rechargeable wireless table lamp that’s now on sale for £17
Although neither have officially confirmed their split, Zara McDermott has been dropping hints that she’s no longer living with partner of five years Sam Thompson. Eagle eyed fans have spotted a very different home featuring in the background of Zara’s recent social media posts, with the documentary maker also subtly showing off clever ways she’s been redecorating what is assumed to be her new home.
In a recent cooking video, fans were particularly besotted with her gold and glass table lamp in the background, prompting Zara to share where it’s from. Posting a closer look at it, Zara wrote: “Loads of people are asking about this light – it’s a rechargeable lamp from Amazon! I absolutely LOVE it!” before linking to the Rechargeable Table Lamp, which is now on sale down from £24.99 to £16.99.

The clever Rechargeable Table Lamp is perfect for those awkward spaces where you need some extra light but don’t have a plug socket nearby, or want to avoid any trailing wires. Spaces like hallways, windowsills, bathrooms and kitchen counters are usually the main culprits for needing a little extra light, although you could also use it for bringing a temporary extra glow to dining tables or outdoors (as long as it’s not raining, of course).
The wireless Rechargeable Table Lamp is perfect for giving a chic, sophisticated look. It features a gold base and stand, with a rose-inspired fluted lampshade that allows the light to reach far into corners of the room.
It’s fully dimmable, with 10 different light intensity settings that allows it to give off just the right amount of light for your space. You can also choose from three different colours of lighting, with warm light, natural and white light options.
To change the setting, you simply need to tap the base until it reaches your desired brightness. You don’t need to worry about replacing batteries or anything either, as it’s fully chargeable via a standard Type-C cable.
Shoppers were also a big fan of it, with one writing: “Lovely little light, looks more expensive than it is. Shade is plastic but I wouldn’t have been able to tell on sight alone. Easy to use. Has three colour settings, with each having allowance for different brightness levels. The brightest isn’t very bright though, so I’m using it on full brightness every time and that creates a nice ambiance in our hallway. No problems with battery life for us so far, though if you want the brightest light it’s best on full charge.”
Another added: “A very handy and pretty rechargeable lamp. Light weight and easy to operate. I would recommend getting this for any dark places that need a nice light.”
Some were less taken with the lamp, however, writing: “Very cute but works more as a night light. Not bright enough for a table light.”
Another Amazon shopper said they preferred their Dunelm version, which was more expensive but had a much longer battery life. If you also want to check out Dunelm’s options, the homeware retailer has a whole host of rechargeable lamps in plenty of different designs and styles.
The Hestia White Rechargeable Colour Changing LED Touch Table Lamp with Bronze Base has a similar look and style to Zara’s, but will set you back £38. The lamp features a gold-coloured base and stand, with a white fluted shade that gives off a soft glow.
However you can still pick up Zara’s Rechargeable Table Lamp in the Amazon sale now.
