Shoppers think they’re found a brilliant perfume now half price at under £30 that makes a great Christmas gift – and it’s drawing comparisons to a much pricier scent
Fragrance fans should head to LookFantastic at the moment where the retailer is currently holding its Big Beauty Takeover sale, with huge savings to be had across loads of beauty products, including perfume – and one bargain scent in particular caught our eye for its glowing reviews.
LookFantastic has slashed the price of Ralph Lauren Big Pony 2 Pink Eau de Toilette 50ml by 50%, taking it down from £59 to £29.50. Described as “a luscious, floriental fragrance” with “main components of cranberry and tonka mousse”, the website calls it “an alluring fragrance powered by fruits and florals” – but it’s the customer reviews that really impress.

“I got this as a daily work perfume as it has similar notes to Prada Paradoxe but way more affordable for a day to day perfume,” wrote one person, referring to Prada’s popular eau de parfume, which is more than three times the price at £97. “It smells divine and it’s great value it’s a long lasting scent and so worth buying! Great value for money!”
“This has a nice flirty fruity smell to it. Lasts well and doesn’t overpower. Been a RL fan for years and will continue to buy this,” another review reads. “
“Bought for a teen Ralph Lauren fan who loved the pink bottle and smell,” a third person put, one of several who remarked how good it was for giving as a gift. “Great everyday fruity fresh scent. Would buy again.”
In fact, the only even slightly negative review we could find was from one person who wrote, “The only downside is that the smell doesn’t last long and the bottle is too small,” yet who still called it “the best perfume ever”.
If you are after something that lasts a little longer on the skin then you might be better off sticking with an eau de parfum like Prada Paradoxe over an eau de toilette. Prices start from £69 for a 30ml bottle, but shoppers can currently save 20% on fragrance at Boots when they spend over £60.
