Tommy Fury will finally make his return to the ring later this evening when he takes on Bosnian fighter Kenan Hanjalic.
The British star hasn’t fought in nearly two years. His last outing came back in October 2023 when he defeated social media sensation KSI. ‘TNT’ was due to take on former UFC title challenger Darren Till, but Fury was forced to pull out of the contest after his rival threatened to kick him in the face during the fight.
Just a few months after the fight was supposed to take place, Fury will be looking to get his career back on track when he takes on a new opponent in Hanjalic. The 27-year-old has six professional fights under his belt and holds a record of 5-1. And so, here’s everything you need to know about tonight’s fights…

Tommy Fury: “Two years out. One surgery. The hardest battle I’ve faced has been the mental battle of being away from boxing. But I’m back stronger, sharper, and more HUNGARY than ever. May 9, Budapest… It’s showtime. Let’s go! Last year was worst year of my life, and this year is going to be the best year of my life, and it starts on Friday. I’ve turned it all around. I’m happy mentally now. I feel like, you’ve got to go through these challenges in life.”
Kenan Hanjalic: “I come from Sarajevo and proudly represent Gladiator Club Sarajevo, with over 100 amateur fights behind me – each one shaping me into the fighter I am today. I’m stepping into the ring on May 9 in Budapest to face Tommy Fury with one mission – to win. “I respect every opponent, but names don’t win fights – hard work, discipline, and heart do. It’s my time to prove that I belong at the top. I’m not going there to be anyone’s test – I’m going there to cause an upset. Thank you to everyone in Sarajevo and around the world who believes in me. This is my moment.”
