Aldi is recalling its £3.99 Ashfields 30 Day Matured Thin Cut Beef Steaks over a health fear that could pose a risk to shoppers

Aldi has issued an urgent recall for one of its steaks sold in stores over health fears.

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) announced that the major chain will remove one of its £3.99 steak from shelves. Aldi has pulled its Ashfields 30 Day Matured Thin Cut Beef Steaks from stores because the product contains milk, which was not listed on the label. This packaging error could have posed a health risk for people who are dairy free and lactose intolerant. Certain people who may have bought these steaks before the recall have been warned to “no eat it”.

The FSA said: “This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents. This is due to a packaging error.”

The specific packets of steak with this packaging error are the 360g packs with a use-by date of October 26, 2025.
