The discounted Samsung television doubles up as a photo frame, displaying artwork and photos when not in use
Hidden within Amazon’s Tech Week Sale deal pages is the sleek Samsung The Frame Smart TV which doubles up as a photo frame, allowing users to display artwork or their own photos when they’re not watching their favourite shows. The online giant is now offering the 32-inch OLED display television with a 38% discount, bringing the price down from £549 to £338.
This sale price is the cheapest around, with the device costing £449 when bought directly from Samsung, while John Lewis is selling it for £429. The Frame Smart TV, which comes in sizes ranging from 32-inch to 85-inch, is glare-free thanks to its ‘ground-breaking’ matte display that absorbs reflections. The television’s matte display ensures that users will have the best possible viewing experience without any distractions, even in bright light.
The Bluetooth TV comes with a remote control and uses Object Tracking Sound LITE, which aims to enhance the viewing experience by making sound seem more realistic and directional. Users can choose which of the TV’s front speakers the sound comes through, depending on where the action is happening on screen.

That’s not all, as the television also features Art Mode; instead of turning into a black screen, The Frame transforms into a showcase of artwork and photography when it’s turned off, allowing the TV to become part of the décor. There are over 2,000 works of art to choose from on the Samsung Art Store, or viewers can upload their own photos to display cherished memories.
The Frame Smart TV is powered by Quantum Dot, which allows viewers to see whatever they watch come to life ‘with greater detail and realism’. Samsung says ‘the sky is brighter, the grass is greener, and the details are clearer’.
There are many other 32-inch smart televisions on the market, however, none offer Samsung’s sleek photo frame design and artwork features. Argos is selling the LG 32 Inch Smart FHD HDR LED Freeview TV for £149.99 which features a sharp Full HD display, smart processor and immersive sound through AI Sound technology.
A more budget-friendly option is the TCL 32-inch Smart Frameless Full HD LED Roku TV that is currently on sale at Very for £109. It offers many streaming options, full HD HDR picture quality and DOLBY Audio.
Samsung’s The Frame Smart TV has earned an overall rating of 4.2 out of five stars from 119 reviewers. One delighted customer commented: “I can’t believe the quality of this television. It’s beautifully designed with a great image quality. I love how it comes with its ultra slim bracket meaning it genuinely sits flush on the wall. Because it’s a ‘frame’ TV, it also comes with a lovely Art feature where standby actually displays artwork.
“The matte display makes it look just like a picture on your wall. You can also select whether you want it to be a mounted picture or unmounted, just like a frame. As for television, it is of good quality and has a beautiful picture quality and deep, rich sound. It’s certainly a bit more pricey for the size, but you won’t be disappointed.”
“Fabulous way to display my artwork,” wrote a second happy buyer. “Having a perfectly lit slideshow provides entertainment all day long. The tech has improved since I bought my first Frame six years ago. Setting up was so easy and painless, we were up and running in minutes. Now the fun of choosing my favourite pieces to share on my new Frame.”
Unfortunately, one Amazon customer wasn’t completely satisfied with The Frame Smart TV, as they explained: “I was disappointed with this TV. The picture quality is poor compared to other TVs I’ve had, including much cheaper models. It constantly loses channels, saying they no longer exist, yet my other TV picks up all the channels no problem, off the same aerial. The sound quality is good, I’ll admit that.”
Someone else, however, was left impressed, as their detailed five-star review concludes: “Samsung The Frame is not just a television; it’s a fusion of art and technology that elevates the viewing experience to new heights. Its combination of stunning visuals, smart features, elegant design, and eco-friendly operation makes it an exceptional choice for anyone looking to enhance their home entertainment system. A well-earned five stars for this innovative and stylish masterpiece from Samsung.”
