Anne Hathaway had all eyes on her as she attended the Super Bowl on Sunday night with many fans being overjoyed by seeing the actress at the event

Super Bowl: Anne Hathaway spotted celebrating after Eagles win

Anne Hathaway commanded the Super Bowl audience during a hilarious moment.

The actress was one of dozens of famous faces packing into the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans for the tense match between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs. Celebrities including Louis Tomlinson, Jay-Z, Sir Paul McCartney, Taylor Swift and Pete Davidson all watched on as the Eagles secured a whopping 40-22 victory.

But it was Anne who took the internet by storm as she struggled to contain her excitement in the second half off the match following Kendrick Lamar’s halftime performance. Throughout the game, cameras panned around the huge stadium, capturing the reaction of celebrities, including Taylor Swift who was awkwardly greeted by thousands of boos.

However, Anne, 42, was nothing but smiles while the Eagles were winning. As the Jumbotron turned to her, the Princess Diaries star was seen chanting along to the Eagles as she offered a few poses for the camera. Anne notably wore a green sweater which she draped over her shoulders The clip, which has since gone viral on social media was soon flooded with praise for the star.

“Anne Hathaway came on screen wearing Eagles colors and all the lesbians screamed like we won the game,” said one. A second went on to write: “Anne Hathaway is always on the right side of history. That’s why she don’t age.” “Anne Hathaway is class personified, IMO. She has classically beautiful features and she is so nice and down to earth,” commented a third.

Meanwhile, a fourth typed: “How is that girl 42 years old but still looks like she did in the early 2000s. She’s so f***ing gorgeous.” “She ages like fine wine,” added another. However, it is not known whether Anne is actually a face of the Super Bowl winners or if she was embracing the moment and cheering along.

Anne grew up in Brooklyn, New York, but her family originate from Philadelphia so it is likely she was supporting the team. Following the match, the Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni said his team “didn’t care” about what people thought of them as they clinched victory. “We didn’t really ever care what anyone thought about how we won… all we wanted to do was win,” a tearful Sirianni told Fox Sports. “These guys did not want to let each other down.”

Their victory made up for a narrow defeat to the Chiefs two years ago and Sirianni put the success down to a team effort. “That’s a great football team (the Chiefs),” he said. “We had to come out and play our best. What a lesson to the whole world about teamwork. This is the ultimate team game. You can’t be great without the greatness of others and this was a great performance by everybody. It took everybody. I’lll be shedding a couple of happy tears tonight. A lot of work went into this.”
