Amazon has cut the price off Apple’s best laptop on the market as the newest M4 models arrive

If you’re in the market for some new tech, Apple’s latest MacBook Air might catch your eye, especially with Amazon’s tempting new deal.

The online retail giant has knocked £100 off the price of the freshest MacBook Air for a short period. Shoppers can get this sleek laptop for £899 – which is quite the steal for an Apple product that’s hot off the press – but be quick cause it won’t be there forever.

Despite its premium cost, it’s rare to find discounts on Apple products and it’s seldom to find the MacOS products in the sale. With this device, shoppers will get a 13.6-inch powerhouse packed with the M3 chip, a Liquid Retina display, and a hefty 16GB of RAM.

Plus, it touts a marathon 18-hour battery life, so you can ditch the charger and travel light. Our experts over at the Daily Express awarded the Apple MacBook Air top marks.

But there are some tasty alternatives you can go for. If £900 is too rich for your blood, you can get the older M2 MacBook from eBuyer for £653.34. Or if you want to pay over time, Sky has some MacBook Air plans from £35 a month so you can spread the cost.

Tech editor David Snelling commented about the M3 MacBook: “With the latest refresh, Apple has made its best-selling ultra-portable notebook feel more Pro than ever before. Even the new design (wave goodbye to the iconic wedge-like chassis) seems to take inspiration from the new-look MacBook Pro lineup”.

“The new machine arrives with an edge-to-edge 13.6” screen with a notch, fast charging, and an upgraded 1080p webcam. Luckily, despite these robust new features, the MacBook Air maintains its reputation for being light and supremely portable.

In his glowing five-star review, tech editor David Snelling did point out a few areas for improvement, including the decision to place all ports on one side. There’s also the cost: at a price of £993 this laptop is an investment and it’ll be a tough buy for many – but considering its reputation as one of the best laptops on the market, it’s a great choice.
