Liverpool manager Arne Slot was spotted living it up in Ibiza just hours after his team’s draw with Arsenal on Sunday afternoon. The Dutch boss joined a number of celebrities on the island, including Gary Lineker’s brother Wayne.

Slot’s Liverpool side were crowned Premier League champions in April but still have some fixtures to fulfil. They lost their last away game against Chelsea, but made a fast start against Arsenal before being pegged back for a 2-2 draw.

Hours after the full-time whistle, O Beach Club owner Wayne shared a photo of himself embracing Slot at the Ibiza venue. “Caption this” was all he wrote alongside the picture.

In another bit of footage, Slot is seen being ushered forward by crowds at the club as ‘We Are the Champions’ blares out. “No words. What a day,” Wayne Lineker’s caption reads.

EastEnders actor Dean Gaffney also shared a video featuring the Dutchman on Instagram. “Eagle-eyed viewers will spot a certain Premiership-winning manager,” he wrote.

Liverpool have won the Premier League at a canter in Slot’s first season in charge. Since wrapping up the title with victory over Tottenham Hotspur, though, they have yet to win a game.

After losing 3-1 at Chelsea, they raced into the lead against Arsenal with two goals in two minutes through Cody Gakpo and Luis Diaz. Gabriel Martinelli and Mikel Merino earned a point for the visitors, though, before Merino picked up a late red card for a second bookable offence.

“It is not always easy to win the league with four games to go, especially if you have one game a week because you have to keep them ready to play,” Slot told BBC Radio 5 Live after the draw. Liverpool face Europe-chasing Brighton in their next game on Monday before completing the campaign with a home game against Crystal Palace.

“For the ones that won the league as early as we did know how difficult it is to train players that have already won the league, to keep the intensity levels needed in the Premier League,” he continued. “That is what we showed today. I hope we see the same against Brighton but I can tell you we will definitely see it against Crystal Palace.”

Speaking separately to Sky Sports, he said: “After you have won the league, you always wonder what team you get but I liked the team I got. We had some good counter attacks. Arsenal immediately scored in the second half and then I brought Diogo Jota on as an extra attacker and we went so close to winning the game.”
