Attention is already turning to the summer transfer window, with Arsenal star William Saliba being linked with a shock exit as the Gunners are linked with a move for Harry Kane
The January transfer window may only have closed on Monday, but attention is already turning towards the summer.
Even though it is still six months away, it appears that Arsenal are facing a real battle to keep hold of their top stars. One man already being linked with an exit is William Saliba, who has starred in defence for Mikel Arteta’s men.
His performances for the Gunners have attracted the attention of Real Madrid who are now sizing up a summer move. That comes with Arteta having taken his side on a warm weather training camp to Dubai.
The Spaniard is hoping to reset his side’s season with the trip to the Middle East as they look to chase down Premier League leaders Liverpool. Here, Mirror Football rounds up all the latest Arsenal news.

Saliba eyed by Madrid
Real Madrid are lining up a summer move for Arsenal star William Saliba. The 23-year-old has become one of the Premier League’s top central defenders and interest in his services from Europe’s elite is nothing new.
But fresh interest in the Frenchman from Madrid is set to pose a significant problem for Arsenal. It now seems almost certain that Los Blancos will come calling for Saliba in the summer, even if the Gunners have no desire to sell one of their top stars.
Real have made Saliba their ‘priority’ transfer target ahead of the 2025-26 campaign, though there is an acceptance that signing him will be difficult. Given Saliba’s importance to Arsenal, they won’t give up the former Saint-Etienne man without a fight.

Gabriel rewarded
Gabriel has won Arsenal’s Player of the Month award for January following a string of impressive performances. The Brazilian centre-back played every minute of the Gunners’ nine matches during a bumper month of fixtures.
He helped keep two clean sheets as his side won five of those matches. Gabriel earned 37% of the votes to narrowly pip Declan Rice to the trophy, who came in second place.
It is the fifth time he has won the monthly award. He claimed three in a row in his first few months at the club back in the 2020/21 campaign, before also claiming the January award this time last year.
Kane breaks silence on links
Harry Kane has insisted he is happy with life at Bayern Munich, amid reports that he has a cut-price release clause in his contract. News of the clause has seen Arsenal be linked with a move for the England captain.
It was claimed earlier this week that the striker’s contract contains a clause which means he can bought for just £54million once it activates in January 2026. The Gunners have been tipped to make a move, but Kane has firmly put talk on his future to bed.
Speaking after notching two goals – both from the penalty spot – in Bayern’s 3-0 win over Werder Bremen, Kane was asked the question and responded coyly: “What I can say is that I’m very happy at FC Bayern. No comment on the clause.”
