Strictly Come Dancing professional Nadiya Bychkova has announced her return to the show and its 20th series line-up – and fans are convinced she’s got a partner

Strictly Come Dancing’s Nadiya Bychkova has teased her followers with a tantalising hint about potentially having a new dance partner as she confirmed she’ll be gracing the BBC show once more.

The Ukrainian stunner and mother, who is also a professional dancer, is among the latest batch of Strictly pros to declare their return for the landmark 20th series of the beloved BBC One dance extravaganza later this year. After experiencing a setback while on tour with her beau and fellow dance pro Kai Widdrington, Nadiya excitedly shared news of her comeback and slyly suggested she might be paired up this time around.

Taking to Instagram, Nadiya exclaimed: “The biggest show on ITV is back and I can’t wait to be part of it again. Glitz – tick. Glamour – tick. Sparkles – tick. Glitterball – ? ? ? Are you ready for the new series?”

Nadiya’s insinuation is clear; without a celeb partner, there’s no chance at the glitterball trophy, indicating she’s pretty sure she’ll be in the mix with the pros and celebs this year.

Kai Widdrington, Nadiya’s other half and dance floor colleague, showed his support with a simple yet effective fire emoji and a red heart emoji. The couple, who have been an item for some time, are both celebrating their continued involvement in the show, with Kai too announcing his spot in the 2024 professional lineup.

Nadiya’s fans couldn’t contain their excitement about her announcement, with many echoing a similar sentiment regarding her participation.

@mossposs commented: “Hope you have a partner this year.” @meeraichura echoed: “Hoping for a partner this year.” Strictly fan @katie6341 gushed, “Can’t wait to see you back and play I spy Nadiya. Hope you have a celebrity this year.” Fellow supporter @tina_summer_hollie enthused, “Hope you get a partner this year love your dancing.” Meanwhile, @bridgettthemidget53 expressed her wishes by saying, “Hope you get a partner this year! .” Another follower, @mawer7070 chimed in with, “Great news! Fingers crossed you get a partner this year.”

Nadiya last took to the dance floor with a partner back in 2022 when she was teamed up with the former BBC Breakfast star Dan Walker, taking them all the way to the semi-final despite Dan’s less than stellar dance abilities.

However, the show’s bosses made the decision to ‘rest’ Nadiya in 2023, electing to bench her while they paired Luba Mushtuk with a partner instead.
