Since marrying rapper Kanye West, Bianca Censori has become known for turning heads with her risqué outfits – including her extremely revealing look at the Grammy Awards
Bianca Censori made headlines after wearing a sheer dress on the red carpet at this year’s Grammy Awards – but she hasn’t always been in the limelight. Since marrying Kanye West in December 2022 the Australian architect has gained attention across the world for her daring looks and risqué clothing choices.
Over the weekend Bianca bared all at the 67th Grammy Awards when she took off her coat to reveal an extremely transparent mesh dress that left little to the imagination. But prior to her relationship with the Stronger musician, who is 17 years her senior, Bianca looked rather different in photos that have resurfaced on social media.
In one photo from years ago, the model could be seen with her friends as she sported long dark hair while beaming from ear to ear. Having been born in Melbourne, Bianca, 30, grew up in the suburb of Ivanhoe. During her childhood she attended the prestigious Carey Baptist Grammar School.
“I would describe Bianca as a social butterfly – the kind of girl who was friends with everyone,” a high school peer told Daily Mail Australia. “Like, she was never an intimidating mean girl. I think it would surprise people how smart she is.”
Following her graduation in 2012, Bianca headed to the University of Melbourne at the age of 18 where she studied Architecture. During her time at university, she co-founded the jewellery brand Nylons with a friend and, according to her LinkedIn, it was active for four years between 2013 and 2017.
As well as focusing on her brand and her studies, Bianca worked as a student architect at Melbourne-based architecture agency DP Toscano for three years. After graduating with her master’s degree in 2020, Bianca was hired as the Head of Architecture at Kanye’s brand Yeezy.
“It was surprising because she was still so young in the profession,” a former boss of Bianca’s told the Sydney Morning Herald. He added: “She obviously made an impression on Kanye West, and she made that impression because she’s actually very talented.”
In 2022, Bianca opened up to Vogue Australia about the creative scene Down Under. “The pandemic was the first time in a long time a lot of Australian creatives were brought back to one place,” she said. “Melbourne felt like this melting pot of global creativity. People began to cross disciplines and collaborate in ways I hadn’t experienced before.”
And while she now lives in LA, Bianca also discussed the realities of splitting her time between Australia and the US. “In Melbourne I can cultivate my creativity and LA is where I apply it,” she explained. Two years after joining Yeezy, Bianca was linked to the All Falls Down rapper. The pair got married in December 2022.
According to reports, Bianca’s family and friends had previously raised their worries about her change of clothing following her relationship with Kanye. “Bianca started to see the relationship in a new light when her friends and family voiced concerns about the way she was dressing in public and Kanye felt that she wasn’t as into him as she was in the beginning,” a source told MailOnline.
“There are no hard feelings but she couldn’t ignore her family when they asked her to explain the stranger parts of their relationship. They have broken up before so there is a chance they’ll reunite.”
Meanwhile, fans have been left divided following Bianca’s latest look as they took to her Instagram to share their thoughts on the choice of outfit. “This is not iconic its disturbing,” wrote one. “U should be ashamed,” another added. “Bianca… BLINK TWICE girlfriend if you’re in trouble and need help,” said a third after she shared a series of snaps from the occasion, which are now deleted, on her social media.
