Shoppers were thrilled to see the treat had made its way back to shop shelves – and at an affordable price too
B&M shoppers can get their hands on another type of chocolate that’s very rarely seen on shop shelves this side of the world. The discount store has imported another load of tasty treats from abroad – and fans are thrilled.
Facebook user Daniel posted about the return to the Snack Reviews group when he saw a box-load of the sweets. He wrote: “Perky Nana chocolate bars back at B&M!”
The Cadbury treat, which is popular in New Zealand and Australia, has a smooth and chewy banana-flavoured centre that is covered in milk chocolate. Fans can often find treats from Australia in the B&M sweet aisle which cost much less than other imported treats from other parts of the world.
B&M isn’t the only place where you can grab a bar – with plenty of other online retailers selling the treats, too. However, fans of the rare treat will get much better value for money at the major chain because they only cost £1 each – not too far off what we’d pay for a traditional British chocolate bar nowadays.
Recently, the popular Cherry Ripe reappeared in stores as well as the Pinky bar. Others were quick to join in and share their joy at the bright yellow bars returning to the UK.
One said: “They’re beautiful!” Another added: “If you like soft foam bananas in chocolate. Try them!” A third commented: “These look and sound good. Wonder if they’re a bit like banana skids? I love them chewy bars!”
Someone else said: “Love them, I buy 10 at a time, chewy banana filling! They always sell out though hence why I get so much. I don’t like when people get greedy but other people are doing it and I’m not going to miss out!”
They’re not to everybody’s taste though. Someone complained they “taste like chemicals”, with another adding: “They’re absolutely vile!” You can find your local B&M stores quickly and easily by using the online store locator tool. Just enter your postcode and you’ll be shown a full list sorted by nearest.
