A festive jumper is as much a part of the Christmas season as mince pies and turkey. And fashion savvy shoppers will know that festive knitwear doesn’t have to be gimmicky either, as one ‘great quality’ item from Boden is proving.

Hailing from the Shetland islands, Fair Isle patterns have never really gone out of style. Stars like American actress Sydney Sweeney have sported it and back in 2022, Kate Middleton wore a Fair Isle knit when she read a CBeebies Bedtime Story.

This Boden jumper comes in a range of sizes (extra-small through to extra-large), and it is spun from a wool blend, meaning it delivers on softness. It is a straight fit, but not too body fitting and falls between the waist and hip.
The Red/Snowman print has happy snow figures dotted around the top section, with Fair Isle sleeve details in pink and blue, which match perfectly with the vibrant red and white. This Oatmeal Mix coloured jumper is knitted from textured boucle yarn with a touch of wool for a premium feel, M&S says. It’s a relaxed fit, with the Fair Isle pattern across the shoulders.
With 350 reviews on Boden, the jumper selection has caught the eye of a few buyers. One shopper said: “Beautiful jumper, and will keep me cosy this winter. Slighter small for my size 8.” Another added: “This fits perfectly! True to size. I bought size S and I’m a size 10. I love the fun design. It cheers up a dull day!”

One shopped liked it but it wasn’t their personal style, as they explained: “I really like your Fair Isle jumper and the fit was good, but the colour just didn’t suit me at all so sadly I had to return it. I think the fit was better than last year actually being slightly longer than previously.”
Someone else said: “I love the design and colour. It looks better than the picture. Unfortunately the small was too small and the medium was then out of stock. Gutted this is one that got away!”.
