Too many missing people are falling through the cracks – harmed while away, and ignored when they return.
We need a proper government strategy led by the Home Office, Education, and Health departments to stop this crisis.
Right now, there’s no real support. People go missing again and again – yet no one’s asking why.
We’re calling for:
-
A new national strategy for missing children and adults
-
Proper support for missing people when they return
-
Investment to stop people going missing in the first place
At 10,000 signatures, the government has to respond. At 100,000, it will be debated in Parliament. That’s our goal – real action.

This week, a body was found in the search for a woman who vanished after going for a run in the middle of the night. Rachel Booth, 38, was last spotted last seen by family in the Barnton area of Northwich on Friday, before a more recent sighting some five miles away at the Sandiway garage on the A556 road. At the BP station, Rachel was seen on CCTV buying milk and wine at 3:50am after going for a jog.
Police believe she may have travelled to the Oakmere area of Delamere, and said they were becoming “increasingly concerned” for her welfare as locals reported she was seen trying to hitchhike and looking “distressed”. This afternoon, Cheshire Police announced they had found a body.
