Boots says the magnesium tablets help “reduce tiredness and fatigue”. It adds that magnesium is “an important mineral that the body needs to stay healthy.”

However, it is important to note that only people who have been diagnosed with magnesium deficiency by a doctor should consider taking supplements like these. If you have any concerns about your sleep or are experiencing symptoms of a magnesium deficiency, such as fatigue, muscle cramps, spasms, weakness, and abnormal heart rhythms, then you should speak to a GP.

As per a report by the Express, celebrities like Taylor Swift love magnesium. According to the NHS, everyone should endeavour to get enough of it daily as part of a healthy, balanced diet.

Many shoppers swear by the supplement and have shared glowing reviews about how it has “changed lives”. One said: “My energy has improved since using this product, and it’s been easy to take.” Someone else posted: “Easy to take. My sleep has improved so much since I’ve been taking these magnesium supplements.”

Another added: “It says on the container It helps release energy and contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. I ran out of these tablets a few months ago and had been feeling tired lately, so I have started taking them again and firmly believe that they do help to keep me going.” A fourth wrote: “Good product. It helps me sleep at night and is very easy to take too.”

A fifth person commented: “Have been using these for around four months.Decided to try them as I suffer really badly with insomnia and muscle cramps. Within probably10/12 weeks I noticed improvements. I would say my sleep quality ismmuch better and I have rarely had cramp at all.”

But, some were unimpressed. One claimed that they “didn’t notice a difference”. Another said: “Too much of a laxative effect so I stopped taking them.”

If you are interested in adding a supplement to your daily routine, There are lots of options elsewhere if you miss out on the Boots offer. For example, Amazon shoppers could get this £ 11.99 Magnesium gummy, which make a good alternative to traditional tablets.

Meanwhile, Holland and Barrett sells its version of Magnesium tablets in a similar sized 180 pack for £12.49 . Working out at 7p a pill, shoppers only need to take one of these a day, making them last a little longer than the Boots version.

If you are considering making any adjustments to the supplements you take, it would be best to speak to your doctor first. They can advise on a safe dosage, point out the risk of any side effects and can check if certain supplements may interfere with any medications you take.
