The Magnitone Get LIT LED Mask has been a key product to boost the texture of my skin, and it’s now on sale

Technology has become the next go-to for beauty fans, as skincare devices become the rage product for glowing skin. I used to be sceptical of how effective these plug-in gadgets were, until I tried an LED face mask and my acne-scarred skin transformed.

Last November I tried the Magnitone London GETLIT Tri Clour Face Mask in a bid to cure blemishes and scaring left from hormonal teenage skin, plus I’d heard LED can help achieve glowing skin. I saw results after only a week of using it and more than three months later it’s still working wonders.

The exact model I used is now reduced in Magnitone’s surprise sale, it’s now available for £64.99. A discounted price that’s also been matched by Boots which is running a ‘better than half-price sale’ on all products from the brand.

The at-home device has three different light functions, all of which offer something a little different. A yellow light for glow, red for helping to reduce the appearance of fine lines – as it firms the skin – and blue for blemishes, which has become my most-used of all for acne marks.

As I said in my initial review: “As someone who is acne prone the blemish-busting blue light is a no-brainer and 15 minutes of this is said to help ‘decongest the skin’s surface’, a setting I’ve used most at night, after I’ve washed and cleansed off my daily makeup.

“Then comes my favourite, the glow-intensifying yellow-light, where the hint is in the name. This setting is said to ‘stimulate more blood flow to the skin’ which helps make your face appear more radiant and glowing.”

LookFantastic is another retailer that stocks the device, however it’s still at the full £75 price, despite previous sales. It is offering a discreet discount on another Magnitone device though, as the code HURRY cuts 20% off the £90 LiftOff Microcurrent device. If budget is no problem then the CurrentBody Light Therapy 2 Face Mask, at £399, could be for you too.

The Tri Colour LED mask is comfortable to wear and offers an affordable alternative to going to often pricey salon treatments, however as I first mentioned I still agree that the changes of using the device are best when paired with lifestyle changes too, or acknowledging how much influence hormones and stress levels can have on skin. If this is an issue for you the LED mask may not be as effective as hoped.
