Hollywood icon Brad Pitt’s home has reportedly been terrorised by thieves, with it alleged three suspects scaled the fence at his Los Angeles property
Brad Pitt’s home has been targeted by thieves, according to reports. It’s claimed three suspects scaled the fence at his Los Angeles property.
The Los Angeles Police Department reported the incident took place at around 10.30pm on Wednesday. While they confirmed a break-in at a residence in the Los Feliz area of Los Angeles, they did not identify who lived at the property or who owned it.
It’s thought it was the Hollywood icon’s home and he wasn’t present at the time. It’s unclear, though, if his girlfriend Ines de Ramon was in the house.
Investigators told NBC News that the thieves climbed over the actor’s front fence before ransacking his home. It’s claimed an unknown amount of property was stolen in the heist.
The burglary comes after a number of other celebrity homes were recently targeted. However, it’s unclear if there are any connections.
Among those previously targeted were Pitt’s ex-girlfriend Jennifer Aniston. Couples Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson and Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban were also targeted in recent years.
Pitt had been in the UK this week as he continued to promote his new film, F1: The Movie. Earlier this week he was spotted with his girlfriend at the premiere in London.
The film has been directed and co-written by Top Gun: Maverick filmmaker Joseph Kosinski. It was partly filmed during Formula One Grand Prix weekends with certain scenes being filmed in between breaks. It allowed real drivers to also appear on screen.
However, Max Verstappen is said to have refused to play any part in a certain scene. It’s said the driver refused to film a scene with the Hollywood legend for the new Formula 1 movie, which is out now in UK cinemas.
The movie, which was years in the making, included Verstappen making a cameo appearance. In one take, Pitt’s character, Sonny Hayes, is seen lining up for the national anthem at the British Grand Prix. Verstappen is in the same shot, along with several other drivers.
The scene was filmed at the 2023 Silverstone race. However, Verstappen has been among the least enthusiastic of the drivers about their participation in the making of the Hollywood blockbuster. And that became clear after he seemingly refused to change his travel plans in recent weeks to help the promotion of the movie.
Explaining why, he said: “I told Formula One Management way in advance that I would not be there that evening. They knew about that.”
He went on: “I just wanted to spend more time at home. It wasn’t a mandatory event either, it was just my private time. And I prefer to spend that private time at home, especially because in Formula 1 you’re away from home so much already.
“Wanting to spend more time at home on days like that is pretty normal, I think. Now that the family is growing, then I definitely prefer to spend more time at home.”
