Singer Rebekah Del Rio has died at the age of 57. The singer was found dead at her home in Los Angeles on June 23, with a cause of death yet to be confirmed.
The news was confirmed by the Los Angeles Coroner’s Office, though further details have yet to be disclosed.
Rebekah’s rose to prominence with her performance of Llorando in David Lynch’s acclaimed 2021 movie Mulholland Drive. The chance meeting between the singer and the celebrated filmmaker happened through a shared agent back in the mid-90s. At the time, Rebekah had a country record deal in Nashville, Tennessee, thanks to her recording of Llorando – a Spanish version of Roy Orbison’s classic Crying.
