Christmas lovers have been left seriously impressed by an advent calendar with over £100 worth of beauty products for a fraction of the price
Shoppers love Sainsbury’s Beauty and Skincare Christmas Advent, which is now down from £60 to £30 if you have a Nectar card – and it’s ‘worth over £100’. An impressed customer who showed off the ‘brilliant’ find on TikTok went viral after sharing a video showcasing the serious saving.
“Don’t walk, run,” @conniebulloch1 told followers, captioning the clip that’s been seen over 400,000 times. In another video, Connie unboxed the calendar, showing off the products from brands including CerVe, OPI, Tangle Teezer, and Real Techniques.
“All these products would have come to around £107. But Nectar price I got it for £30,” Connie praised. “It’s great value for money,” the shopper thought. A viewer replied: “I think that’s brilliant.”

Meanwhile, plenty more commenters on Connie’s videos praised the calendar. Someone thought: “This looks well good!!!” Another replied: “Now I need this one.” “That would “Actually be good for my teenager,” a different commenter shared.
But not everyone was as impressed, with some suggesting the selection was ‘boring’ and ‘a bit rubbish’. As the creator pointed out, it’s all about whether or not you’d use the products and if you fancy trial-sized products.
Sainsbury’s deception explains: “The calendar includes trial-sized products, including moisturising cream, shampoo, sheet face mask, lip balm, nail varnish and more.”
In all fairness to those on both sides of the debate, the products included could be described as everyday heroes. Think facial wash, shampoo, and hairspray as opposed to the more luxury products you might find in other calendars. Nonetheless, it’s filled with popular brands.
If you’re looking for an alternative, other beauty calendars recommended by shoppers online include the Macmillan 24 Doors of Joy Advent Calendar. It’s more expensive at £44, but it’s still a good deal, as it’s down from £90. Expect products from No7, Ted Baker, Liz Earle and more.
