The 29-year-old father-of-one from Halifax was pronounced dead following the incident at the Funky Flamingo bar on March 22. According to the manager of the bar, the man fell backwards off a bar stool and hit his head on the ground. His dad and his friends, who were with him at the bar, were said to have been left in tears. Bar manager Gaston Luciano told the MailOnline: “They gave him a shot of adrenaline and connected him to a machine, they did everything they could, it was so sad. His friends were in shock for the first minute or so and then it hit them what was happening, they were emotional and crying.”
One eyewitness described seeing “several police cars” and two ambulances outside the bar. The man was known to have suffered a heart attack several years earlier.
