Police representatives have said they are becoming ‘increasingly concerned’ for 28-year-old Gerallt, who had left for Tenerife on July 7, but he hasn’t been seen since
A Brit has been reported missing in Tenerife after he failed to board a flight home – two weeks after landing in the holiday hotspot.
Gerallt, 28, from Llandudno in Wales, had jetted to the sunkissed island on July 7 for a holiday, and had planned to return home via Manchester earlier this month.
He was last seen leaving his home in Wales, police said, before boarding a flight to the island from Manchester Airport.
Spanish and British authorities have teamed up for an urgent international search to locate the man, with the local British Embassy also assisting while an inquest continues in the UK exploring the circumstances around the death of Jay Slater, who went missing in Tenerife last year.
In a statement following news of his disappearance, North Wales Police West Conwy Coastal said the service is “becoming increasingly concerned” for Gerallt’s welfare.
The service said in a statement: “We are becoming increasingly concerned for the welfare of a man who has been missing since earlier this month.
“Gerallt, who is 28 years old, was last seen leaving his home address in Llandudno on July 4th.
“He is believed to be in Tenerife, after officers received information that he boarded a flight from Manchester Airport on July 7th.
“However following checks made with the airline he did not board his flight home on July 12th as expected.”
Police have shared a single image of Gerallt after launching search efforts, showing the 28-year-old standing in a home while wearing a blue and black hoodie.
Gerallt is described as a white, five foot eight inches tall man with short, black hair. He was last seen wearing a navy blue tracksuit and pair of black trainers.
