A new survey of 2,000 Brits has revealed the most popular New Year’s resolutions for 2025 – but many have admitted they’re likely to break them before the year is out

As we approach the New Year, many of us are already setting our sights on 2025 and the resolutions we hope to achieve.

A new survey from FruitySlots.com, which polled 2,000 Brits, found that 38% plan to exercise more, while 36% aim to eat healthier, and 32% are hoping to shed some pounds in 2025.

Just under a third (29%) said they’re aiming to catch more Z’s, while 34% want to hydrate more. Other popular goals include travelling more, reducing phone use, and reading more books.

However, despite these good intentions, many Brits predict they may not stick to their resolutions for the whole year.

According to FruitySlots.com, several popular resolutions are more likely to be abandoned than maintained, with nearly a quarter (23%) naming weight loss as the resolution they’re most likely to break in 2025.

Close behind, 22% confessed they’d struggle to keep up with exercising more. Healthy eating is another area where Brits anticipate difficulty, with 21% predicting they won’t be able to maintain it.

Digital habits could also prove challenging, with 16% admitting they’d find it hard to reduce their screen time and 15% saying that taking a break from social media would be quite tricky.
