Brooklyn Beckham has been trolled for his cooking videos in the past and has now hit back at those who say he’s not a ‘real chef’ after sharing a string of kitchen videos
Brooklyn Beckham attempts to make a french omelet with caviar
Brooklyn Beckham has hit back at critics who doubt his culinary skills, despite his history of sharing cooking videos and tips with his massive online following. The eldest son of David and Victoria Beckham has faced scrutiny over his varied career choices but is now focusing on his passion for cooking.
At 25, Brooklyn has moved away from photography to embrace the culinary arts, although he recently indicated a shift from pursuing professional chef status to simply enjoying cooking at home. In a recent TikTok video, he demonstrated how to make a French omelet with caviar, starting with cracking six eggs.
He instructed his followers not to season the eggs immediately but to whisk them first. As he melted two large chunks of butter in a pan and poured in the eggs, Brooklyn mentioned learning the technique from Chef Ludo Lefebvre, a top influencer in the Los Angeles food scene known for transforming the dining experience. He expressed his admiration, saying, “One of my favorite chefs.”
Brooklyn continued, addressing the sceptic: “Don’t judge me, oh, of course, you do. Everyone’s always like ‘Ooo Brooklyn thinks he’s a professional chef’. I’m not a professional chef, I just love cooking”, reports the Mirror US.
After completing his omelette, Brooklyn Beckham decided to garnish it with a lavish topping of £170 ($215) Imperia Caviar, along with some chopped chives, and a simple sprinkling of salt and pepper. His efforts were highlighted in the comments section by followers who showered him with compliments.
One user responded: “Looks good mate ignore the haters.”
while another commented: “Love how you’re calling out the haters here looks great” An additional follower penned: “Nicely cooked omelette to be fair. I’ve seen chefs do worse.”
Recently, Brooklyn faced a backlash from some social media users after he shared a cooking video, suggesting he should “get a job at McDonald’s”. Regardless, there were those who showed their support for the young chef’s culinary journey, amid most of the negative “hater” style feedback.
Even though one supporter referred to him as an “incredible chef”, others took a swing at him. “It’s burger and chips you melt ….this guy needs a hobby,” was one blunt comment. Whilst another jeered at the star by asking, “You just made burger and chips [laughing face emoji].”
“Untalented child of beautiful parents,” was a harsher statement by a critic, and a fourth individual lamented: “What has life come to… I’m watching Brooklyn Beckham try to cook a burger.”
Several individuals found the opportunity to joke about a potential career at McDonald’s for Brooklyn, given his latest recipe involving some burger flipping. “He could get a job at McDonalds,” one spectator mockingly suggested, whilst another retorted: “He couldn’t hold down a job at mc D.”
Despite the teasing, some supporters rushed to defend the scrutinised star, as one of his fans told online trolls: “This not funny at all leave him alone.”

Earlier this year, Brooklyn let slip that his wife of two years, Nicola Peltz, isn’t exactly a culinary maestro, admitting she can’t “cook to save her life”, as he set up his own temporary UberEats restaurant and reflected on his love for cooking. Brooklyn began chronicling his kitchen adventures on social media during 2020’s lockdown periods.
His seemingly simple tutorials, teaching viewers how to create dishes like sausage sandwiches or pasta with pre-made sauce have been the subject of gentle ridicule. Yet, despite the backlash and continuous taunts online, Brooklyn has remained resolute in his devoting himself to the culinary arts.
