The eldest son Brooklyn Beckham’s feud with his family continued as he ignored a family member’s milestone birthday
Brooklyn Beckham has made his feelings about his family incredibly clear amid an ongoing feud between the eldest Beckham child and the rest of the famous clan. But now it seems it’s not just close family that he’s removed from his life, as the chef/photographer has snubbed a major birthday for his cousin Finlay.
Today (22 September) almost all of the Beckhams took to Instagram to share sweet tributes to Finlay, the son of Victoria Beckham’s sister, as he celebrated his 21st birthday.
Victoria posted an old photo of her nephew with a message reading, “Happy birthday. We love you!!!” and Romeo followed suit, with a picture of the two of them as children. He wrote underneath: “Happy birthday broskie.” Cruz also posted a picture of him and his cousin. In it, they looked very dapper in dress shirts and bowties, and the youngest Beckham boy added a simple “Happy birthday” below.
Meanwhile, Brooklyn has not posted at all. This is far from the first important family birthday that he has ignored. Earlier this month, Brooklyn was the only Beckham not to wish brother Romeo a happy birthday, and he didn’t turn up to the birthday celebrations either. The eldest Beckham child also snubbed his father’s 50th birthday celebrations, despite being in London at the time, and failed to publicly comment on his knighthood.

When he ignored Romeo’s birthday, an insider revealed to Metro that it was “unrealistic” to expect him to post about his brothers after they mocked his varied careers and then blocked him on Instagram.
“Brooklyn has been on the receiving end of public trolling from both of his brothers, and just a few months ago, they even blocked him and Nicola. So, it’s unrealistic to expect him to extend an olive branch.”
Brooklyn also stayed silent last week when the first trailer for a Netflix documentary about mum Victoria was released. In 2023, when his father’s documentary, Beckham, came out, Brooklyn posted about it frequently and attended the premiere with the rest of his family. But this time, he has been radio silent.
The most recent series of snubs came after Brooklyn and his wife Nicola Peltz-Beckham held a vow renewal and chose not to invite any of Brooklyn’s family. During his speech, Brooklyn decalred his love for Nicola but also the Peltz family, not once mentioning the Beckhams.
A source close to the couple said: “He spoke from the heart – and at the centre of his heart is Nicola who he loves very dearly, but also the Peltz family who have really stuck by his side. He wanted to recognise them all, and was determined to do them all justice.”
Some fans believe Victoria is ready to give up on her eldest child. The former Spice Girl used to frequently mention Brooklyn and how much the family missed in her posts to social media. But she seems to have stopped doing so, even when posting pictures that Brooklyn is conspicuously absent from.
“Victoria’s heart is breaking behind closed doors,” said a source close to the Beckhams. “Brooklyn is her firstborn and she’s worried she’s never going to get him back. Seeing him and Nicola renew their vows without her and David was tough. They have missed out on some big family moments already and Victoria is afraid that the longer this goes on, the less chance there is of it being resolved.”
