Those who have visited Butlin’s during the festive season have showered it in admiration, with one family who went to Skegness at Christmas in 2023 stating on TripAdvisor: “Brilliant holiday made possible by all the attentive staff who made sure everything was kept clean and tidy throughout. Meals in the deal were excellent with so much choice. The restaurant was kept clean and tables cleared and ready for next set of diners in a blink of an eye.”

They added: “We came at Christmas and the site had been decorated with lots of Christmas lights. Christmas Dinner provided was excellent with a good choice of food and a treat of a bottle of Prosecco, table decorations crackers and hats for a festive feel. The staff are all really friendly and hard working my thanks to all of them.”

Another happy Butlin’s fan wrote on Facebook: “In all honestly I wouldn’t be anywhere else at Christmas… this will be our 4th year and it’s the one holiday we most look forward to. They decorate the whole place with festive decorations, the staff can’t do enough for you.. Anyone you come into contact with are so helpful. The whole atmosphere is electric from start to finish. If you’re in 2 minds about booking Christmas just do it once.. you will not be disappointed! I hope this helps anyone who’s thinking about booking.”

Although for some people, the retreat wasn’t quite as festive as they hoped with one saying of the break a few years ago: “It was supposed to be Christmas time and hardly any decorations up.” Although for 2024, this may be a different story.
