Carl Woods has made a bizarre request after admitting that he’s going to get a brand-new set of Turkey Teeth.
The ex-boyfriend of Katie Price, 35, took to his Instagram stories to ask his followers if any of them would be up for ‘holding his hand’ while he gets the procedure done. The former Love Island star took to his stories to put out the request as he flashed his teeth.
“Going to get new teeth in Turkey on January 5-12. Looking for someone to come hold my hand. DM me if you’re up for the task,” he wrote alongside the snap.
Carl is no stranger to having work done after dating former glamour model Katie Price for a number of years. Carl saw first-hand how anyone can get addicted to changing their appearance, as he recently revealed that he was desperately worried for the mum-of-five amid her addiction to plastic surgery.
Carl and Katie had an on-again, off-again relationship for three and a half years before calling it quits last November. The pair met through friends in 2020 and announced their engagement just 10 months later, in 2021.
However, they split last year, with Katie moving on with Married At First Sight UK star, JJ Slater.
While Katie and Carl are well and truly over, Carl still fears that her ‘surgery addiction’, which shows no signs of abating, could one day prove fatal. After recently undergoing a £10,000 facelift in Turkey, her sixth so far, the reality star, 46, even seemed to good-naturedly mock herself when she declared: “I look plastic because I am plastic. At least I tell you all what I’ve done.”
For Carl, a business entrepreneur from Essex who found fame on Love Island in 2016, Katie’s repeated cosmetic surgeries symbolise her dangerous quest for the ultimate beauty ideal.
Shedding light on the severity of her situation, he told OK! Magazine: “They say in your life you can only have so much anaesthetic before it’s a problem. And like everything in her life, Kate likes to push the boundaries. I feel like she’ll never be happy.”
He expressed his fears bluntly as he said: “Unfortunately, there could be that final time she doesn’t wake up. Sadly, I do 100% believe that could happen. But Kate never spoke to me about being scared about it, she’d brush off all that talk.”
Carl was forced to confront reality head-on during an ill-fated trip to Turkey with Katie, where the plan was for him to undergo full body liposuction, while she did the same.
However, witnessing Katie in a “shocking state” post-surgery compelled him to reconsider. “I got wrapped up in it all for a while because she was constantly on this mission for perfection, so I started criticising myself. But when I saw her after her lipo, I was like, ‘Oh, my God. No, no way are they doing that to me.'”.
