Cat Deeley stepped out in a stylish look for Wednesday’s This Morning appearance, wearing a pair of Me + Em trousers that can be converted into another pair altogether
Cat Deeley has once again cemented her status as daytime TV’s style icon with another effortlessly chic ensemble on This Morning. The presenter, known for her polished yet relaxed style, stepped out in a pair of Me + Em Regular-Length Convertible Pants, which appear to be the ultimate wardrobe investment.
The trousers come in a range of colours, including merlot, burnt orange, olive and camel, with Cat having opted for the latter for her spring look. They boast a mid-rise, tailored fit for a timeless, classy look, with a straight leg design that converts into a wide leg with a nifty hidden feature.
A concealed zip at the side seam transforms these trousers to allow two totally different silhouettes. So while they may be a bit more of a wardrobe investment at £225, you do get two looks out of them, with endless styling opportunities when it comes to pairing them with blouses, tops and knits.

To accommodate different heights, the trousers are also available in a shorter length. But, unlike trousers at retailers like Marks and Spencer, they’re not currently available in a ‘tall’ version. They do, however, have functional pockets, ideal for keeping essentials close to hand.
Seeing as the Me + Em trousers are on the pricier side, we’ve hunted down some high street alternatives. While they may not be quite as smart as the luxury brand, they can certainly help you achieve a similar look, albeit one that’s a little more casual. Roman has these Tan Side Stripe Wide Leg Trousers for £25, down from £32, while Debenhams is stocking these Elastic Waist Side Stripe Wide Leg Trousers from Dorothy Perkins for £29.
The most polished pair we found, though, were the Friends Like These Brown Side Stripe Utility Trousers at Next for £34. They’re described as a ‘lovely side stripe trouser’ that even have a secret elasticated waist at the back for a flattering fit.
Cat was styled by Rachael Hughes, pairing the trousers with a simple but classic white crewneck T-shirt from & Other Stories (£19). Finishing off the look, Cat opted for a pair of open-toe heels, striking the perfect balance of ‘smart casual’.
The mum-of-two often uses this high-low styling technique to create her looks, often pairing luxury brands with more accessible high street names. Some retailers she wears regularly include Reiss, Phase Eight, River Island and Mint Velvet. You can shop her Me + Em trousers here, or check out our favourite Cat Deeley outfits of 2025 so far here.
