CSI Miami and ER actress Cindyana Santangelo has died at the age of 58 with investigators looking into the circumstances surrounding her death

Actress Cindyana Santangelo has died at the age of 58. The star, who was once dubbed the ‘Latin Marilyn Monroe’ was found dead at her home in Malibu, California, on Monday. First responders had rushed to the home of actress, who had appeared on shows such as CSI Miami and ER.

They were responding to reports of a medical emergency. Sadly, after Santangelo had been taken to hospital, she was pronounced dead. Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homocide investigators have since released a statement saying they are looking into her death.

“On Monday, March 24th, at approximately 7:15 PM, Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel responded to a medical emergency call on Westlake Boulevard, in Malibu,” the statement read.

“Paramedics transported a female adult to an area hospital where she was later pronounced dead. The cause of death is undetermined, and an autopsy is pending.

“This investigation is ongoing, and there is no additional information available at this time.”

Officers are said to have no evidence of foul play, but no conclusion is being made until the star’s autopsy is completed.

As well as appearing on ER and CSI: Miami, Santangelo’s CV boasts shows including The Bo-Bo and Skippy Show. She has also appeared in movies, playing a role alongside Harrison Ford in Hollywood Homicide.

She also appeared on a number of music dance videos. One hit she appeared in the video for was Young MC’s Bust A Move from 1989.

Following the news of her death, fans quickly took to social media to share messages of condolence.
