Chantel Mila, a mum and lifestyle influencer, has shared a simple checklist of five tasks that take just minutes each that will make your home feel so much cleaner
For those of us juggling hectic lives, having a spotless home 24/7 just isn’t possible. Other aspects of life are simply more important and need more attention.
However, it’s clear that a tidy environment means a tidy mind, and there’s nothing quite as stressful as wrestling with a chaotic household when you’re already tired.
But there’s no need for a daily cleaning marathon to stay organised. Mum and lifestyle influencer Chantel Mila, taking to TikTok, insists there’s a straightforward morning routine that anyone can do to make homes feel so much cleaner.

In a recent video, she said: “If you love the feeling of a clean home, but don’t want to spend all day cleaning, these simple morning routine shifts can make a big difference.”
Each task is a quick win, creating a manageable method to bring an extra touch of neatness to your space, reports the Express.
1. Making the bed
This is something that most of us probably do anyway, but it’s a great way to feel productive as soon as you wake up in the morning. If you really want to keep your bed looking fresh, Chantel recommends changing the pillowcases every three days.
2. Laundry
A great way to improve your productivity is doing some kind of chore whilst waiting for something. Giving an example, Chantel says she puts on a load of laundry every morning while her coffee is brewing.
She shared: “I always aim for one load every day to prevent it from piling up.”
3. Wipe down bathroom
Convenience is key when trying to keep a clean home. And one thing that can really help is keeping a cloth in your bathroom cupboard, ready to wipe down the sink every day to prevent too much mess from building up
4. Quick cleans
We’ve all heard of – and probably tried – the famous Sunday reset routine that has dominated TikTok for a few years now. But instead of dedicating a full day to cleaning, which is just impractical, Chantel recommends putting aside 15 minutes each day for a smaller-scale reset.
5. Deal with clutter
Finally, one of the biggest culprits of a messy-looking home is clutter lying around. To prevent this, make sure everything has a place in your home, and ensure it goes in its place.
A quick zip around the house, either in the morning or at night, to put away any clutter is a really simple way to prevent too much mess from building up.
