Loose Women panellist Coleen Nolan has shared a candid insight into her love life as she lifted the lid on a “fling” she had after the breakdown of her latest relationship.

Coleen split from boyfriend Michael Jones last year after three years together. The pair called time on their relationship after Coleen’s busy schedule juggling her work life and looking after her farm proved to be major stumbling blocks.

Following the end of their three year relationship, the 60-year-old also explained how she had preferred living alone since their split, telling Woman Magazine: “I think I found it more weird living full-time with someone. Maybe that’s what made me think, ‘Oh, I don’t know’.”

However, during a chat with Christine Lampard on the Loose Women podcast, Coleen was initially quite coy when speaking about the latest updates in her personal life.

She said: “There’s nothing to report. I had a slight romance with somebody.” Christine interjected and asked whether it was just a “fling”, to which Coleen replied: “Yeah, a bit of a fling, and it was lovely, but it wasn’t the right person.”

Shedding further light on her dating life, Coleen joked that there was little chance of her finding love again anytime soon, adding: “At this point, I think I’ve probably (got) more chance with going on a date with one of the goats.”

Coleen has been married twice before her relationship with Michael Jones. The singer’s first marriage was to EastEnders legend Shane Richie, which lasting nine years after they tied the knot in 1990. They share two sons, Jake and Shane.

Following their split, she later found love again with actor Ray Fensome whom she had one daughter with before they called an end to their marriage in 2018.

Coleen has been an ever-present on UK TV screens down the years, with the star best known for appearing as part of the permanent panellists on Loose Women since she first landed the role back in 2000, a year after it first aired.

Another major TV moment came for Coleen in 2017 when she made it all the way to the final of Celebrity Big Brother before being crowned the winner after Jedward finished as runners-up.

However her rise to fame came when she was just a youngster when she had huge chart success alongside her four sisters in their band, The Nolans.

During the height of their fame in the 1970s and 80s, they received huge acclaim for their hits, I’m In the Mood for Dancing and Gotta Pull Myself Together.
