Singer Conor Maynard, 32, broke his social media silence to ask fans for help after claiming his anxiety is getting to a point ‘I’m not sure what else to do’

Conor Maynard has pleaded with his fans for help after breaking his social media silence.

The singer, 32, had been silent on Instagram for six weeks, but took to his Stories to ask his three million followers about Diazepam. He wrote in white text on a black background: “Has anyone on here ever been prescribed Diazepam, but their anxiety is so bad that they’re literally too anxious to actually take it?”

He continued: “Please reach out it you’ve ever been in this position. Can’t believe I’m posting this, but at this point, I’m not sure what else to do.” He went on to apologise for his recent silence, adding: “Sorry I haven’t posted anything in over a month. This post kinda alludes to why.”

Diazepam is a prescription only drug that is typically used to treat anxiety disorders. It is also used to treat insomnia, seizures, and the effects of drug and alcohol withdrawal.

Conor’s latest comments come after The Traitors star Charlotte Chilton, 32, welcomed daughter Penelope in September following a one night stand with Conor. The star of the Channel 4 series insists he is yet to see their child and has ghosted her on social media.

In November, the first-time mum, who has publicly claimed the singer Conor as daughter Penelope’s father, alleged he is not involved with the baby. Despite a challenging pregnancy and stressful initial weeks, Charlotte opened up in an exclusive chat with OK!.

She said at the time: “I hated being pregnant. I loved the baby inside me, but everything else was s**t. I remember thinking, ‘This is vile. Women lie to women and say, It’s magical. There’s nothing magical about this.’ I was really, really negative, but I did have SPD [Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction, which causes severe pelvic pain during pregnancy], gestational diabetes, I had an allergy to my hormones. I had everything, so I was constantly in and out of the hospital. I couldn’t do much for myself. I had to stop working for the last three months. And I didn’t have a baby daddy there to help. It was really hard.”

Speaking about Conor’s involvement – or apparent lack of – she added: ” “I had real torment over whether to contact him when she was here or not. And I figured I don’t want to speak to him, but he has a right to know. I knew if I didn’t reach out people would say I hadn’t bothered. But if I did contact him, it’d look like I’m hassling him. I thought the best thing to do would be to contact his representatives. And that’s what we did. I said, ‘Look, she’s here.’ He has a right to know.”
